   Nigeriahivinfo.com mourns Joy

"I have three kids, though the first is not with me. Of the two kids with me one tested positive and the other negative. The one that tested positive is the little one I am carrying. I was advised to stop breastfeeding. I said God, am I going to lose my baby?" "

And, Ayinke lost her baby.

She had called, voice shaking, "Steve, is that you Steve? Steve, I have lost Joy" Truly, innocent Joy is no more, she died because of two things. First, she has had to cope with the HIV virus, from birth. That she died from complications arising from her status is not in doubt. But the reality is that Joy died basically as a result of poverty. Ayinke Stephens has no job, no source of income whatsoever. Even with the opportunity that she had to access free drugs, it is still a big burden for her to feed on a balanced diet. That lot is not just hers alone, majority of Nigerians are in her shoes.

To Joy, still not a year old till she gave up the fight, she was not even in a position to comprehend what she has had to live with, we say rest in perfect peace.
