Bayoor Ewuoso is currently the Photography editor of Nigeria’s highest circulating Newspaper, Punch Newspaper. He has won the News Photographer award from the influential Nigerian Media Merit Award and the Diamond Awards for Media Excellence (which he received twice). He has a Diploma in General Photography from the International Correspondence School, Glasgow, UK in 1983, and another diploma in General Photography from Yaba  College of Technology, Lagos in 1987. Ewuoso is noted for his remarkable commentaries on the human and social condition through the instrumentality of photography. As he said in his application, “I hope to use my lens to change the perspective by which people see those who are HIV positive. I also will want to learn the basics about HIV/AIDS and see how we can compel positive changes through our work”.

In pitching a story idea on which he is going to work, he said “I hope to carry out a photographic expose that will reveal the lapses and unprofessional conduct in our health care facilities and use my work as example to impact my colleagues in the profession and those who work with me”.
