Next month our Health Journalism Partnership, (HJP) funded HIV/AIDS training will be rounding up and, I must confess, the experience has been wonderful and enriching. The share diversity and vertical trust of the stories represent for me, again, the truth that training is a central matrix in the effort at reforming and renewing the noble profession of journalism.
At a time when the moral and social health of the nation is under the kind of intense pressure we currently experience, journalism has the capacity to remake the world in the image of social relevance and worthiness. This has always been the guiding spirit of the NigeriaHIVinfo.com team and we are delighted to say that this current edition helps illustrate that philosophy and purpose.
This edition is yet another outcome of the efforts of our energetic June Interns, and I trust that you will enjoy their insightful stories.
In a fortnight we shall be unveiling our latest project which is an exploration into the neglected and stigmatized world of Gays, Bisexuals and Men who have sex with men in Nigeria and how that community is faring in the face of HIV/AIDS. It is the product of a collaboration between NigeriaHIVinfo.com and Alliance Rights.
I promise you this will be worth the while, so, until then, do enjoy this edition-Training Edition 2.
